PX Black Line

It all started with our extremely successful PX Polyester warp oriented fabrics. Once they had sailed on the wave of success, our R&D team took the proven concept further and developed the PXB Polyester line coming with a custom black fiber coating and all its attractive benefits like the pleasant improvement of the UV properties of the Polyester fiber in an efficient weight-to-strength radial construction. As with our standard PX styles, the weight ranges will step up in 5000 deniers per inch increments in the warp, from 5000 to 20,000 DPI. At the same time, the fill DPI also increases as the warp count goes up to confidently respond to the intensified overall loading across the sail. Additionally, our patented Dimension‑Polyant X-PLY® comes into play and further addresses off angle loading for the highest stability available in this type fabric. We know that our clients do not expect any less from us than that.

PX Sport

PX Sport extends the Lite Skin® range into the growing market of performance cruising boats with large mainsails, non-overlapping headsails and modern rigs. While Lite Skin® is no substitute for the more robust taffeta based cruising styles, Lite Skin® offers an attractive alternative to the keen sailor that wants a performance cruising or club racing sail with a hint of racing heritage. The PX Sport utilizes high tenacity polyester scrim and X-PLY® fibres in conjunction with the external Lite Skin® finish resulting in a soft hand for simple sail handling and reduced water absorption suitable for modern sail plans.

ZZ BLACK POLYESTER LAMINATES

Following on the success of the ZZ Black Aramid laminates, the ZZ Polyester (ZZP) styles incorporate the same formed scrim and insertion technology to create a range of fabrics based on high tenacity polyester fibers. Polyesterhas excellent resistance to flex and its UV durability is further enhanced by a carbon black coating on the formed scrim. Designed for radial applications, the ZZP styles step up in incremental warp fiber content from 6,000 to19,500 denier per inch, while the ZZP 13 and 19 also see an increase in fill strength as well. Primary thread linestrength is supplemented with a ZigZag of 1,000 denier black polyester fibers at 22° on either side of the warp forimproved cloth stability and tear strength.
