Hydra Net® radial


Hydra Net® radial is a sailcloth that offers high-strength and muscular support in stressful sailing conditions. Its tightly woven polyester base with a ripstop of Ultra-PE makes it stronger than any woven polyester. It also has a breathable platform, which reduces the chance of mildew growth. The Hydra Net® radial range offers several styles that can be combined for customized constructions.

The Fastnet product line is our Premium Offshore Cruising fabric. Fastnet is the most durable offshore cruising dacron. It is constructed using massive warp fibres that will significantly improve the longevity of the sail compared to other fabrics. This new concept of using an increased denier on the surface area of the sail is the most efficient and cost-effective way of extending a sail’s life.

Material Options

Dacron: Polyester is a popular sailcloth fibre due to its excellent resiliency, high abrasion and UV resistance, high flex strength, low absorbency, and low cost. Loong Sails offers specialized Dacron cloths for various applications, from racing dinghies to large cruising yachts.

 

Dacron hybrid: Dacron-Dyneema Hybrid is a strong and durable fabric designed for radial sails. It is resistant to wear and tear and mildew build-up.

 

Hydranet: Hydranet boasts comfortable handling, higher flex stretch, increased anti-mildew resistance and better durability and is available in both crosscut and radial construction methods.

 

Crosscut: Hydranet is a tightly woven high-tenacity fabric with a "net" of Ultra-PE for offshore cruisers. This special construction has been refined and developed using high-performance looms to create a fabric that is unique in the sailcloth market.

 

Radial: Hydrant radial sails are known for their exceptional strength and longevity, surpassing other wovens and many laminates. They are tightly woven with a high percentage of Ultra-PE fibres in the warp direction, resulting in superior shape retention and a soft feel. The radial range includes multiple styles that can be combined for advanced construction.

DCX Line


Dimension-Polyant's DCX cruising laminates are a great choice for ambitious cruising sailors who prefer low-stretch material. The DCX line is designed to produce a high-durability fabric that is easy to handle for furling. It is a sandwich laminate that features a mesh embedded in two films with a special taffeta on both ends. The mesh fabrics used offer an excellent warp stretch value and high tear strength. The film covering taffetas is robust and coated with UVM Finish, which protects against harmful UV radiation and reduces mildew growth. The DCX line has been upgraded with a 9° X-PLY for significantly increased support for the occurring diagonal forces.
